English courses are designed to help students develop their skills in reading, writing, speaking/listening and viewing/representing. In all English courses a variety of resources are used to promote skills and strategies for reading and to develop proficiency in oral and written communication. All areas of the English program foster development in intellectual analysis, personal assessment and peer collaboration. In addition, focus on community awareness and cultural diversity is an integral component of the English program.
